Joy in the Waiting Season

joy in the waiting

Let’s keep it real for a moment—waiting can test. your. will.
Especially when it feels like everyone around you is out here posting proposals, baby bumps, new homes, and accomplishments…
And you’re just trying to keep your head above water and stay focused on your purpose.

Don’t worry, sis. I got you.

Let’s get into it: how do you really find joy in this season of waiting—not the fake-smile, “blessed and highly favored” kind, but the kind that’s rooted in Yeshua and can’t be shaken.

What Even is the “Waiting Season”?

Waiting doesn’t mean just sitting around hoping a man, a job, or whatever you’re praying for will show up.

This season is about preparing, healing, and learning who you are in Yeshua—without all the distractions and #GOALS of the world.

The Most High uses this time to grow us: spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.

Think about our foremothers—Ruth, Hannah, and Esther. Their waiting wasn’t in vain. TMH was working behind the scenes to give them an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).
And don’t doubt it—He’s doing the same for you, sis.

Real Joy vs. “Just Be Happy”

Joy’s not just vibes and smiling through the tough times. Joy is deeper—it’s spiritual fruit. It’s what keeps us grounded and steady when life feels heavy.

“For the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
(Nehemiah 8:10)

That’s your reminder to stand firm on the foundation of The Most High. That’s where your strength and joy come from—not a job, a man, or even your own vision playing out the way you imagined.

TMH brings the kind of joy that fulfills you completely.

Sis, Your Worth’s Not on Layaway

Let’s be clear being married isn’t the end all be all you’re not just sitting around waiting that’s not the goal sis.

You’re not behind or less than. You’re being built, refined, and pruned.

As a daughter of TMH, you were handpicked and chosen for a set-apart purpose. Don’t let the world or even your own thoughts convince you otherwise.

Yes, marriage is beautiful,
But so is your life.
There is beauty in the waiting.

And you’re still worthy, whole, and chosen—right now.

Ways to stir Up Joy in Your Everyday life

🌸 Morning praise + prayer
Start your day with God. Pour out your heart. Turn on your favorite worship music, praise Him, and spend quiet time in His presence.

🌸 Gratitude journal
Write down three things every day you’re thankful for—even the little things that feel insignificant.

🌸 Purpose work
What has TMH placed on your heart? A business, a blog, a book, school? Start where you are and build with Him.

🌸 Surround yourself: Find sisters in faith who get it , women who will pray with you and push you forward.

🌸 Serve others:

Sometimes, the quickest way to find joy is to pour into someone else—even while you’re still waiting for your own blessings.

You’re Not Alone- and You’re Not Forgotten

Sis, I want you to hear me and hear me good:

The Most High has not forgotten you.

Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t.

TMH sees and hears every prayer, tear, and silent thought—and He has it under control.

So keep dreaming.
Keep praying.
Keep showing up for yourself in boldness—knowing that He wants to give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).

And while you’re waiting on your “one day”…

Don’t miss your right now.

Go to brunch.
Take that solo trip.
Dress up for yourself.
Laugh loud.
Dance in the kitchen.
Praise like you already know how the story ends—because you do.

YHWH is good, and He’s faithful to finish what He started.

You’re not late—you’re right on time.

With love and joy,
Gavriella 🤍
