Shalom sisđ,
Letâs talk, something that doesnât get enough attention is gentleness.
In a world that tells us to raise our voices to be heard, move fast, and take nothing from no one, it can feel almost wrong to lead with a soft heart. But Galatians 5:22â23 reminds us that gentleness is a fruit of the Spiritânot a flaw.
What Gentleness Really Means
Being gentle is definitely not a weakness. It’s not about making yourself small or allowing folks to walk all over you.
True gentleness shows strength and grace.
Itâs having power and choosing to carry it with kindness, humility, and love.
Yeshua modeled this perfectly in John 8. When the woman caught in sin was brought to Him, He didnât shame or condemn her. He spoke truthââGo and sin no moreââbut He did it with grace and compassion.
Gentleness in Our Daily Lives
Letâs be realâsometimes, you want to let folks have it.
Whether itâs:
- An ex that keeps popping upâŚ
- A sister being shadyâŚ
- A family member pushing your buttons…
And honestly, you have every right to say something. But before you do, ask yourself:
Whatâs my heart posture? Am I responding with grace?
In dating, gentleness looks like choosing not to expose or drag someone just because it didnât work out even if you âgot receipts.â
With friendships, it’s telling the truth, but with loveânot from judgment or anger.
In community, gentleness shows up as mercy for others who are still growing⌠just like you are.
Be Gentle With You
Sometimes we can be our own worst critics.
When you fall short or take longer to heal, do you give yourself the same grace you give everyone else?
Gentleness starts with you.
Itâs letting go of perfection.
Itâs refusing to beat yourself up when things go left.
The Holy Spirit doesnât shame youâHe gently leads you back to truth. You can treat yourself the same way.
Growing in Gentleness
Hereâs the beautiful truth:
You donât have to manufacture gentleness.
Itâs the fruit of walking with YHWH. As you walk with the Heavenly Father, He grows it in you. But you can make space for it to flourish.
Try these:
đ Meditate on scriptures about gentleness (Proverbs 15:1, Colossians 3:12)
đ Pray before reactingâespecially when emotions are high
⨠Pause and ask: âIs this response rooted in grace?â
đ Journal your triggers and ask YHWH to help you respond differently

Final Encouragement
The world may not reward gentleness but TMH honors it.
When you choose kindness over chaos, grace over gossip, and compassion over crashing out you reflect the heart of Yeshua.
So be strong, sis. But stay soft.
Let your gentleness be your glow.
Prayer:
Prayer
YHWH, help me walk in gentleness today.
When Iâm tempted to react in frustration, remind me of Your grace.
Let my words be seasoned with love, and my heart stay tenderâeven in a harsh world.
In Yeshuaâs name, Amen.
