But what’s been keeping me in the spirit and out of my head lately is this: Knowing TMH is here to guard and protect my heart and mind.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

That word “keep” in Greek means to guard, to protect, to watch over.
Imagine TMH standing watch over your heart—shielding it from negative self-talk, anxiety, comparison, and even harmful people. That’s protecting your peace.

What Tries to Steal Our Peace

Let’s be honest it’s hard to feel when:

• It seems like everyone around you is married or getting engaged
• You wonder if you’ve missed your opportunity or if you’re facing the consequences of past choices
• Overthinking about where TMH has you in this season.

Cultivating Peace in This Season

Here are some of the things that help keep me grounded and at peace:

• Prayer and gratitude- Even when I’m in my feelings, I make time to talk to TMH and thank him for the things I have and ask him to fill the spaces I feel empty.
• Guarding my intake- I protect what I consume like music, TV, social media, and I unplug when I need to.
• Community is essential- I lean on sisters who will speak life over me, pray with me, and lovingly correct me when needed.

Peace as Protection

Peace is more than just comfort—it’s protection.

It keeps you from settling.
From accepting things TMH would never approve.
It reminds you that you are covered, chosen, and not forgotten.
It guards your mind from the lie that you’re not doing enough.

When peace is guarding your heart, you can walk confidently in your purpose—knowing that TMH is preparing the way for you.
His timing is perfect.
He’s got it under control.
And He’s already given you the gift of peace.
